"Chansons de Cologne" is the new album of the saxophone player Christine Corvisier.!She expresses in this new Cd the mixture of cultures that represents her: France Germany and American jazz .
Christine Corvisier decided to refresh and reinvent the world's famous chansons of her Childhood(from Aznavour Piaf etc) through her arrangements with a total new modern jazz aspect. Theaesthetic and concept of the band are based on a natural acoustic sound with plenty of room forimprovisation and highlighting the solo qualities of all the musicians.!In each solo they maintain creativity through interaction which often took them in unexpecteddirections and atmospheres .Christine Corvisier added some of her own compositions to get amore personal touchsinged as well and played a lot of other wind instruments for the production.!Sebastian Scobel (piano) Martin Schulte (guitar) David Andres (Bass) and Silvio Morger (drums)are a perfect match together and offer us a very refreshing and melodic musical journey throughthis album.
